Meet The Team
Karen Dootson
From initially meeting the family, I arrange and liaise with all third parties from booking music requests to designing the order of service, all is done ‘in house’. I think it is crucial to make a rapport and that there is only one point of contact. This alleviates repeating requests over again. I conduct the funeral adhering to the wishes of the deceased and their family. Support continues after the funeral has taken place and our door is always open for a cuppa and a chat.
John Harrison
John takes care of behind the scenes, bringing the deceased into our care and all needs associated with this process. During covid and continuing he has acquired a new role and one he does brilliantly, this is taking the celebrant services for our families. He visits the families at home or if they prefer in the office, tailor making the funeral required to make a lasting tribute for their loved one. This can include poems, music, tributes from friends, armed forces input and more recently acknowledging the funerals via weblink at various crematoria. John also partakes in services for the interment of cremated remains, whether this be in the cemetery, garden of remembrance or elsewhere.
Ringo
Ringo is our Cockapoo and our support pooch for our families. He is in the office and only when permission is given from the family is he allowed to meet them in the reception area or arranging room. He is a gentle, loving soul and hypoallergenic meaning he doesn’t molt. Most families whom have met him say he has helped to relax them during their visits to our funeral home.
Lynda Rose
My Mum, Lynda manages the office whilst John and I are on funerals, often meeting clients and their families, she enjoys helping out and like me is conscientious within her work. She has previously worked within the NHS so is used to client contact and confidentiality.
