Dootson and Harrison Funeral Services Ltd, are Independent Funeral Directors, situated on Elliott Street in Tyldesley M29 8DS. Karen Dootson and John Harrison have over 20 years of experience working within the funeral industry. We can help, care and support you all the way through the funeral arrangements to the day of the funeral and welcome you to keep in touch with us afterwards. Karen has worked throughout the areas of Leigh, Atherton, Tyldesley, Astley and Little Hulton to the far side of Greater Manchester. John has spent the majority of his funeral career within Greater Manchester and surrounding areas. For us, it's the personal touches that are the most important, for you to feel comfortable in our funeral home and for us without question to have the utmost care and respect towards your loved one in our care. We can advise on all matters relating to the funeral, but ultimately it's what you as family/friends choose in respect of flowers, music etc will be honoured in memory of your loved one.
Our Facilities
At Dootson and Harrison Funeral Services we are here for you when you need us most. This means we are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week. We offer all funeral services including cremations and burials and religious/non-religious ceremonies. If needed, we can point you in the direction of local venues for wakes and issues regarding legalities such, as a will. We are not just here for a short time we will be here for as long as you need us.
Our Staff
Here at Dootson & Harrison Funeral Services, we are a small team, rather like a family. Our team consists of two directors Karen and John who manage the daily runnings of the business and of course take care of families and their funerals. Lynda is based in our reception and is on hand to assist with any queries when needed. We also have 2 more lovely team members Ringo and George these are our cockapoo, gentle-natured comfort dogs and they love their job, sitting with our families and of course....the odd treat or 10!

Our Community
Our 20 years within the funeral industry have been challenging yet rewarding in all kinds of ways. We love the community that we have created and our clients are always our utmost priorty before, during and after funeral. That is why we stay in contact with them throughout. Families feel comfortable within our premises, often calling back to see us. We love to post positive quotes from time to time so people understand that they are not alone during the grieving process and healing from a bereavement is not instant, it takes time, understanding and patience.
